What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the TCL C655 PRO?
The Kacbu decision box currently says WAIT for the TCL C655 PRO: either the model has been on the market long enough that a successor may be near, or owner data is weak. The reasons are in the decision box at the top of this page.
What does PRO add over the C655?
The sound, chiefly: a 2.1 array of 15 W a side plus a 20 W subwoofer, where the plain C655 states a 2×15 W stereo pair with no subwoofer. TCL also states 95% of DCI-P3 here and a peak brightness the C655's sheet does not carry.
450 nits or 600?
Both, in one row: TCL writes '450nit(typ)/600nit(peak)'. The typical figure is what the whole screen holds; the peak is what a small highlight reaches. Kacbu splits the row into two fields rather than picking the flattering half.
Is 60 Hz a problem for a console?
A PS5 or Xbox will run at 60 frames a second here, which is where most 4K games sit. What this panel cannot do is 120, and TCL's DLG 120 Hz reaches that rate only by halving the vertical resolution.
