Should you buy the TCL C635?
The Kacbu decision box currently says WAIT for the TCL C635: either the model has been on the market long enough that a successor may be near, or owner data is weak. The reasons are in the decision box at the top of this page.
Is it 60 Hz or 120 Hz?
The panel is 60 Hz. TCL fills the variable refresh row with "120Hz-DLG", and DLG halves the vertical resolution to double the rate, so 120 Hz here is not a 120 Hz picture. Kacbu keeps the panel rate and the technique apart on every page in this category.
What does the Onkyo name buy?
TCL states the speaker type as Onkyo and the power as 20 W across two channels. That is a tuned stereo pair rather than an array: there is no subwoofer and no height channel, and Dolby Atmos here is decoding rather than a layout that can place a sound above you.
Which market sells it?
Brazil. TCL's Brazilian site carries the sheet for both sizes, and the codes on this page are the ones it prints. The set is a 2022 design and its warranty is stated there as one year.
