FAQ

The most common questions about this product

What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the Sony BRAVIA 2 II?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Sony BRAVIA 2 II: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
Why does the older BRAVIA 3 have Dolby Vision and this one not?
Because Sony says so on each sheet: the BRAVIA 3 of 2025 lists HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision, and the BRAVIA 2 II of 2026 lists HDR10 and HLG. A newer year does not mean a longer format list, and this is the row to check rather than assume.
Does it have HDMI-CEC?
Yes. Sony states BRAVIA Sync, which carries HDMI-CEC, as present here β€” where the BRAVIA 3's own sheet states it as absent. It is the one thing this set has that the model above it does not.
Is it enough for a console?
For playing, yes: all four HDMI inputs carry eARC and automatic low latency mode. For 4K at 120 Hz or variable refresh, no β€” the panel is 60 Hz and Sony's HDMI 2.1 row lists only eARC and ALLM.
Why does the code end in EU?
Sony's specification table titles this family's columns "K-55S25M2 EU" on its British, German, Spanish and Italian pages alike. The EU is Sony's region marker, not part of what a shop prints on the label, so match the code up to the M2 and ignore the tail.
