Should you buy the Samsung OLED S90F?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Samsung OLED S90F: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
Is it 100 Hz or 144 Hz?
The panel is 100 Hz and accepts variable refresh up to 144 Hz — Samsung prints '100Hz (Up to 144Hz)' on one row, and states 4K 144 Hz on all four HDMI inputs. Kacbu keeps the panel and the ceiling in separate fields.
What is a 2.1.2 array?
Two main channels, a subwoofer, and two upward-firing drivers for the height layer Dolby Atmos encodes. Samsung's cheaper OLED, the S85H, states a plain 20 W pair; this one states 60 W across the 2.1.2.
S90F or S85H?
The S90F brings the 2.1.2 sound at 60 W, 144 Hz instead of 120, and FreeSync Premium Pro. The S85H answers with Wi-Fi 6E, G-Sync on the sheet and sizes from 48 to 83 inches, where the S90F is sold at 55 and 65.
