Should you buy the LG QNED85A?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the LG QNED85A: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
QNED85A or QNED86A?
The QNED86A is the wider range — seven sizes from 43 to 100 inches against four from 55 to 86 — and at 100 inches it gains 40 W over 2.2 channels with Dolby Atmos. At the sizes both are sold in, the sheets state the same panel, the same Alpha 8 Gen2, the same four inputs and the same 20 W.
Is Wi-Fi 6 worth choosing a 2025 set for?
It is the one row where this 2025 television is ahead of LG's 2026 QNED evo, which states Wi-Fi 5. For streaming at 4K the difference is small; in a flat with a crowded 5 GHz band it is not nothing. Every other headline row — panel, processor generation, inputs — favours the newer sets.
How thin is it on a wall?
The panel is 29.7 mm deep without its stand and mounts on 300 x 300 mm VESA, which is the same body LG uses for the 2026 QNED evo. On its own foot the 65-inch is 280 mm deep.
