What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the Hisense S7S?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Hisense S7S: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
How does it differ from the S7N?
By a year and a measurement. The S7N of 2024 states 400 nits, 4000:1 and an input lag of 13 ms; this one publishes neither brightness nor contrast but states 7 ms at 4K 120 Hz. Both are 144 Hz Canvas sets with the same 36 W across four drivers.
What is a Canvas TV?
Hisense's name for a television built to hang flat against a wall inside a frame, so it reads as a picture when it is off. The sheet gives the dimensions twice, with the frame and without, because the frame is part of the product.
Which inputs take a console at 144 Hz?
The third and the fourth. All four are HDMI 2.1 with auto low latency mode; the third adds eARC and variable refresh at 144 Hz, and the fourth adds the variable rate without eARC.
