What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the Hisense S7N?
The Kacbu decision box currently says WAIT for the Hisense S7N: either the model has been on the market long enough that a successor may be near, or owner data is weak. The reasons are in the decision box at the top of this page.
What makes it a Canvas TV?
The frame and the intent. Hisense builds it to hang flat against a wall behind a teak frame it ships with the set, and states the dimensions twice — with the frame and without it. What is behind the frame is an ordinary 4K panel, not a special one.
Is the picture as good as a ULED?
Not at the top end. Hisense states an ELED backlight and answers no to local dimming, where the U-series sets carry Mini LED with zones. What it does share is quantum dot colour, Dolby Vision IQ and a 144 Hz panel, so motion and colour hold up even though contrast control does not.
Which inputs take a console at 144 Hz?
The third and the fourth. Hisense lists all four as HDMI 2.1 with auto low latency mode; the third adds eARC and variable refresh at 144 Hz, and the fourth adds variable refresh without eARC. Input lag in game mode is stated at 13 ms.
