What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the Hisense S5Q?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Hisense S5Q: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
What makes it a Déco TV?
The cabinet. Hisense states the colour of the appliance as white and the frame as metal and plastic, which is the whole idea: a small television meant to sit in a room rather than disappear into it. What is behind the frame is an ordinary 4K panel.
Is 4K worth it at 32 inches?
Not for sharpness at any normal distance — at that size the eye cannot resolve it. What it does buy is that streaming apps send their best stream, and that quantum dot colour and Dolby Vision have the resolution they were graded for.
How is it for a console?
Better than the size suggests. All three HDMI inputs are 2.1 with auto low latency mode and variable refresh to 60 Hz, and Hisense states an input lag of 10 ms. The panel is 60 Hz, so that is the ceiling.
