Should you buy the TCL C8K?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the TCL C8K: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
C8K or C8L?
The C8L claims more — 5,000 nits and 100% of BT.2020 — but its technology row is blank where the C8K's states QD-Mini LED with a VA panel. The C8K is also the one sold in Türkiye.
Is it a 288 Hz television?
The panel runs at 144 Hz. TCL reaches 288 Hz through DLG, a mode that halves the vertical resolution to double the rate, and Kacbu records that as the marketing figure rather than the panel's own.
What does Bang & Olufsen add?
TCL states the audio system by name rather than by power, so this page carries the name and no watt figure. What it does state is Dolby Atmos decoding.
