What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the LG OLED B5?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the LG OLED B5: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
Is 120 Hz enough for a console?
Yes. A PS5 or Xbox outputs at most 4K 120 Hz, and LG states that on all four HDMI inputs with VRR and auto low latency mode. The 144 Hz of the C5 and the 165 Hz of the G5 are PC figures.
What does the C5 add?
The Alpha 9 Gen8 processor, variable refresh to 144 Hz, 2.2-channel sound and a 42-inch size. The panel, the HDR formats and the four HDMI inputs are the same.
Does it play Dolby Vision?
Yes, including Dolby Vision for gaming at 4K 120 Hz — a format no Samsung television decodes.
