CONSIDER
  • No real owner data yet β€” the verdict stays cautious
Great choice if these matter:
  • Daily Use

  • Value for Money
Watch out for:
  • Cortex-A78 cores date from 2020 and trail the newer designs rivals use at this price.
  • Used only in Galaxy phones, so it gets less third-party optimisation than Snapdragon or Dimensity.

FAQ

The most common questions about this product

What the numbers on the spec sheet actually mean in day-to-day use.

Should you buy the Exynos 1480?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Exynos 1480: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
What does an AMD GPU mean in practice?
The Xclipse line uses AMD's RDNA graphics architecture rather than Arm's Mali designs, which is what brings features like hardware ray tracing down from the flagship Exynos chips. In this class the practical benefit is steadier frame rates in games rather than headline features.
Snapdragon or Exynos in a Galaxy A phone?
Unlike the flagship S series, A-series models generally ship one chip worldwide rather than splitting by region β€” so which chip you get is decided by the model, not your market. The A37 uses this Exynos; the cheaper A27 uses a Snapdragon.
Which phones use it?
Every phone in this catalogue carrying it is listed on this page, so you can compare them directly.
