60 W fast charging phones: 6 models

What is it?

What is 60 W and what does it do?

60 W is the peak wired charging power the maker states; it is the level found on Samsung's top Galaxy model and on some mid-range Android phones. The protocol depends on the brand: the PPS extension of USB PD at Samsung, mostly the brand's own protocol elsewhere.

Full speed comes only from an adapter that meets both the power and the protocol; whether one is in the box also depends on the brand. On large-battery models the point of 60 W is a high percentage in a short time; the maker's 'percent in minutes' figure is in each model's own row.
