Phones with Macro (Ultra Wide)

An ultra-wide lens shoots with a far wider field of view than the main camera: it gathers a building that will not fit, a cramped room or a crowded table into one frame. The field of view is given in degrees — the larger the number, the wider the frame.

This value says the ultra-wide lens also does macro. It is the commonest macro solution on phones: an ultra-wide that can focus close focuses from a few centimetres and brings small subjects up large — no separate macro lens needed.

For the sharpest result, get close without casting the lens's shadow on the subject, and wait for focus to lock.
