1 Phones model on Kacbu ships with Leica VARIO-APO-SUMMILUX Camera Features, from Xiaomi. Compare its specifications and see what sets it apart. The newest of them arrived in 2026.
A photography brand's name on a phone camera marks a partnership over the optical design and the image processing: the lens formula, the coatings, the colour science and the contrast curve are tuned to that brand's signature. The brand does not physically manufacture the sensor or the lens; the partnership is mostly about tuning and approval.
Leica is the German maker of cameras and lenses since 1914. Its signature on the phone side is marked contrast, a controlled fall-off toward the edges and a near-neutral reading of colour; some models put Leica's own "Authentic" and "Vibrant" image profiles in the menu.
APO (apochromatic) is Leica's mark for its most demanding optical correction: rays of different colours are brought to the same plane on the sensor, which reduces the purple-green fringing seen along high-contrast edges. VARIO marks a variable focal length, and SUMMILUX is Leica's family of high-speed lenses.
The name by itself states no sensor size, no aperture and no focal length — those figures live on the model's own spec sheet. A partnership is a claim of pedigree, not a measurable specification.
