Should you buy the Redmi 15C?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Redmi 15C: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
15C or Redmi 15?
The Redmi 15 costs a little more and answers with a 1080p 144 Hz screen and a 7,000 mAh battery. The 15C keeps the headphone jack, FM radio and a dedicated card slot, which the Redmi 15 does not all offer. Screen quality is the clearest difference between them.
Is two OS updates a problem?
It is the shortest promise in the current Redmi range — the rest get four. In practice a phone bought today stays on supported software into 2027 rather than 2029. For a phone at this price that is a reasonable trade, but it is worth knowing before buying.
How bad is the 720p screen?
At 254 ppi across 6.9 inches, text edges are visibly soft next to any 1080p phone. The 120 Hz refresh rate makes motion smooth, which helps, but resolution is where this phone most obviously shows its price.
