This generation splits the line: the Fold8 takes thinness and the wide screen, the Fold8 Ultra takes the 200 MP camera and 3x zoom. If zoom matters, the Ultra is the honest answer — the Fold8's 2x is a crop from its 50 MP main.
What does the 4:3 inner screen change?
Compared with the squarer folds before it, 4:3 matches documents, e-books and most web layouts far better — less letterboxing, more usable rows. Video keeps black bars; this shape is chosen for work, not cinema.
How does battery life hold up with two screens?
4,800 mAh with the efficient Snapdragon lands a full day of mixed cover-and-inner use for most owners. Heavy inner-screen days — long documents, multiwindow — will want a top-up; 45W wired makes that quick, 20W wireless does not.
