Samsung frames the S26 series around AI and the fastest Galaxy S hardware to date.

At Galaxy Unpacked on February 25, 2026 in San Francisco, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, with US availability from March 11, 2026. The S26+ pairs the 6.7-inch QHD+ display with the larger battery and 45W charging.

Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy S26+?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Samsung Galaxy S26+: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
What exactly does the Plus add over the base S26?
A 6.7-inch QHD+ panel against FHD+, a 4,900 mAh battery against 4,300, 45W charging against 25W, plus UWB and Bluetooth 6.0. Cameras and chip are identical — the $200 buys screen and stamina, not photography.
Why not stretch to the S26 Ultra?
The Ultra's case is its camera system and S Pen: a 200 MP main sensor and real periscope zoom against the Plus's 3x. If zoom and photography lead your list, the extra $200 is the honest answer; otherwise the Plus covers the rest of the Ultra experience.
How is battery life in practice?
4,900 mAh behind an LTPO QHD+ panel is a comfortable full day with margin; dropping the resolution to FHD+ in settings stretches it further. 45W wired takes the cell past half in around half an hour.
Snapdragon or Exynos?
Same split as the rest of the family: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for US/Canada/China, Exynos 2600 elsewhere. Check the version sold in your market if sustained performance matters to you.
