Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?
The Kacbu decision box currently says CONSIDER for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: the specs hold up, but there are not yet enough real owner reports to strengthen the call. Pros, cautions and alternatives are in the decision box at the top of this page.
What does the thinness actually cost?
Two things: the battery drops to 3,900 mAh, the smallest in the S25 range, and the telephoto camera is gone entirely. You get the flagship chip and the 200 MP sensor, but zoom is digital and heavy days need a charger.
Edge or S25 Ultra?
The Ultra keeps the 200 MP sensor and adds a real 3x and 5x zoom, a bigger battery and faster charging, at the cost of weight and thickness. The Edge exists for people who want a flagship that disappears in a pocket — it is a deliberate trade, not a cheaper Ultra.
Does a 5.8 mm phone get hot?
There is less room for a vapour chamber than in a normal flagship, so sustained loads — long gaming sessions, 8K recording — throttle sooner than on the S25 Ultra. Everyday use is unaffected.
