Phones with Autofocus selfie camera

Autofocus was long uncommon on front cameras: because selfie distance stays within a narrow band, makers used fixed-focus lenses. An autofocusing front camera widens that band — it picks the right plane between an arm's-length selfie and a close-up, and across a crowded group shot.

It also tells in video calls and vlogging: as the face moves toward and away from the camera, focus follows, instead of the softening a fixed-focus lens shows past a certain distance.
