Phones with OIS (all rear cameras)

OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) counters hand shake with hardware: the lens inside the camera module is shifted in the opposite direction within milliseconds, guided by motion sensors. That is what separates it from software stabilization — nothing is cropped, and the shake is physically cancelled before the light ever reaches the sensor.

In daily use it matters most in two places: photos in dim light and video shot while walking. When light drops, the phone has to keep the shutter open longer; OIS absorbs the hand shake across that longer exposure, which is why night shots come out visibly sharper.

The value on this page says stabilization is present on all the rear cameras — main, ultra-wide and telephoto. The common practice on phones is to stabilize the main lens alone, which makes this coverage the rarer case on the shelf: whichever lens you switch to, the support stays with you.
