Announced on October 30, 2024 and on sale from November 8, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 Pro pairs a 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU (configurable to 14 and 20) with 24GB of unified memory at 273GB/s, a Liquid Retina XDR display and three Thunderbolt 5 ports, starting at $1,999.

How does it compare with the gaming laptops in this category?
Different species.
